Sr. SAP Basis Consultant

Responsibilities and Tasks
- Monitor using Solution Manager, CCMS and CPS
- Develop monitoring baseline standards to help ensure maximum availability of managed systems and applications in order to meet client’s SLAs
- Tune monitoring parameters through trend analysis in order to provide scalability, effective proactive warning, and minimize false alarms
- Serve as the subject matter expert for monitoring related issues; review and approve/deny proposed changes that impact the monitoring infrastructure
- Write Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) documenting monitoring best practices
- Establish a strong collaborative relationship with peers as well as the other teams
- Investigate, analyze and resolve operational problems and complaints related to the monitoring infrastructure
- Advanced ability to review, analyze and qualify errors as data, technical or business process error
- Develop and implement operating procedures that conform to corporate standards defined jointly with other delivery organizations
- Provide operational support; perform problem determination and correction (1st level support)
- Weekly, monthly monitoring report preparation
- Should be able to work in Shift (24x7) independently, odd hour's and Holidays
- Looking for continuous improvements to monitoring and operational issues
- Success based on customer satisfaction, delivery quality as measured by SLAs, and completion of quarterly business objectives.
Qualifications and Work Experience
SAP Basis System Operator must have a relevant IT background and 6 - 8 years of experience with SAP monitoring.
SAP Basis System Operator will focus on achieving results. Must be able to deal with complex solutions, work independently and be a team player along with the following requirements:
- Knowledge of ECC 6.0, BI, PI, MI, EP, GRC, CRM, SCM, CUA, EP, NetWeaver, Business Objects, and business processes
- Experience with MS SQL databases
- Experience with Windows OS
- Strong work experience in Solution Manager, CCMS and CPS
- Good understanding of SAP enterprise data and interface concept and management.
- Strong process management skills; ability to implement and enforce policies relevant to ITIL
- In depth understanding of SAP message architecture and monitoring transactions
- Expected to exercise due care and diligence
- Required to observe proper standards and personal conduct, demonstrating integrity in the execution of duties
- Good documentation skills
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Work well independently but equally as effective in a team environment
- Experience from an international work environment is an asset
- Strong communication skills
- Proficient in English language both verbal and written
- A desire to learn new technologies and willingness to share knowledge and skills with others
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or a combination of applicable experience and education
