Project Engineer
at Consult Asia in Metro Manila-Pasig
• To assist and liaise closely with other TSIC internal departments - Sales & Marketing, Contracts/Costs/Logistics and Accounts - estimating material, labor and other preliminary costs and profit margins leading to the initial submission of a sales proposal to the customer of the project.
• Prior to being awarded the contract, to understand the full implication, duties, responsibilities and obligation for TSIC. To carry out work responsibilities and obligations of TSIC within the budgeted costs’ estimates, and finally deliver the completed project professionally within customer’s and/or industry’s quality expectation and stipulation, within the agreed completion dateline.
• Studies specification to plan procedures for construction on basis of starting and completion of times and staffing requirements, for each phase of construction, based on knowledge of available tools and equipment and various building methods.
• Assembles members of organization (supervisory, clerical, engineering, and other workers) at start of project.
• Orders requisition of tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform to schedule.
• Confers with supervisory and engineering personnel and inspectors to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods.
• Confers with and directs supervisory personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays.
• Inspects work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and that construction schedules are adhered to.
• Prepares or receives from subordinates, reports on progress, materials used and costs, and adjusts work schedules as indicated by reports.
• May direct workers concerned with major maintenance or reconditioning project for existing installations.
• Assumes responsibility for proper allocation of manpower to various projects.
• Observes and complies with existing company policies, codes, agreements, rules and regulations.
• Checks and maintains cleanliness in the assigned work area to prevent from unsafe condition. Assumes responsibility for the proper housekeeping and cleaning of work areas; observes and practices safety rules and regulations.
• To carry out any special assignments as assigned or directed by the management of the company.
Requirements:
• Male or Female, with 30 - 40 years of age
• Candidate must possess at least a Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam), Engineering (Civil), Architecture or equivalent.
• Required skill(s): MS Office, Adobe PhotoShop, AutoCad.
• At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Preferably Experienced Employees specializing in Engineering - Civil/Construction/Structural or equivalent
