Experienced Medical Biller and Collector:
Has excellent communication skill in English, both oral and written
Is able to communicate effectively with patients, medical personnel and insurance agent
Has highly organized, with keen attention to details, analytical and excellent computer skills
Is able to type at least 45 wpm with the use of regular key board and 10 keys by touch
Is willing to learn and follow instructions.
Is able to work independently under little supervision and be a great team player
Is punctual, professional, dedicated and results oriented
Is willing to work on a graveyard shift as needed
Has excellent knowledge of CPT’s, HCPC, ICD-9 / ICD-10 and medical terminology
Has excellent knowledge of billing forms such as CMS 1500, PM1600 and related
Has experience in Medical billing/collection and obtained certificate of Medical billing training (not required)
Has experience using electronic submission 837 and downloading remittance 835
Has excellent knowledge in checking insurance eligibility and checking claims status
Has at least High School Diploma, with some years of colleges is helpful but is not required
Entry level for Medical Biller and Collector:
