Job Responsibilities

As a JavaScript Engineer for AdGent Digital, you will be working on ad rendering code, analytics backend, providing design, implementation and bug fixing. You will work on a framework that is responsible for rendering the ad, handing user interaction, and providing reporting data back to the server. This framework has to be highly structured, utilizing OOP patterns, has to be of a small footprint, and optimized for mobile devices. It must use creative methods to display complex animations, and be flexible to allow for new requirements to be implemented quickly. You will also work on the analytics product, which is being developed in Node.JS and with Elastic Search as the backend.

You are expected to be a JavaScript expert, and will have to extensively use DOM API, JavaScript internals (as specified by ECMA), Web Kit animations and transitions, proper page element placement (in line with, or floating over existing content), and HTML5 specific features (location, storage, etc.).

Job Requirements

• Candidates must have 5+ years recent experience with developing JavaScript code
• Candidates must have 2+ years recent experience with developing JavaScript for mobile WebKit-based browsers
• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
• Node.JS, Express, Elastical
• Experience with ElasticSearch
• Experience developing pure JavaScript application or components (without relying on jQuery, YUI, etc.)
• Experience writing JavaScript code for HTML5 and CSS3 environment
• Experience developing JavaScript that has heavy communication with the server (AJAX).
• Experience with HTML5 canvas, and WebKit transformation CSS
• Experience with implementing animation or animated effects in JavaScript
• Experience with using JSON and JSONP
• Good programming concept knowledge: algorithms, data structures, network protocols
• Knowledge of using browser developer tools
• Good understanding of cross browser JavaScript issues
• Experience in advertisement coding
• Experience in implementing generic JavaScript library code
• Understanding the specifics of web view components on mobile platforms
• Photoshop skills to convert PSDs into creative ad unitsv
• Must be willing to work in Robinsons Summit Bldg., Ayala Ave., Makati City
• Full time/ Permanent positions available
