Job Responsibilities

• Business side programmer/analysts focused on workgroup sized, rapid application development across Annuities Operations business areas. Works with Annuity Ops business areas to develop interim and long term solutions to immediate business needs. Solutions focused on decision support, increasing productivity and decreasing costs.
• Candidate will focus on continuous improvement and systems maturity to applications that were developed initially by non-technical staff as well as the development of new workgroup level solutions. Existing applications may need re-work, clean up, security and enhanced design principles.
• Provide a Wide Range of Services Such As: Technical Consulting, Application Development / Support, Decision Support and Ad-hoc Reporting.
• The candidate must have strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of MS Access and Visual Basic for Application skills. Experience with HTML and ASP is also required. Knowledge of tables, stored procedures, and permissions within MS SQL Server is highly desirable. Robohelp, ClearCase and usage of Quality Center or other defect tracking tool is nice to have

Job Requirements

• Post-secondary education in Information Technology and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 1 year related experience Strong MS Access and Visual Basic for Applications
• Experience with HTML and ASP or ASP.NET
• Helpful: Knowledge of various Annuities business processing systems.
• Helpful: Robo help, Quality Center, ClearCase or other bug tracking tool
• Systems analysis, design, development and testing experience
• Experience documenting business requirements, relational table design, GUI design, Creating MS Access report, writing and executing test scripts
• Proven problem solving abilities
• Solid communication skills, both verbal and written
• Experience with some form of SDLC methodology
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to interface with and facilitate interactions with other IT areas and with Business areas
• Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines
• Must be willing to work in UP Techno Hub, QC
• Full time/Permanent position available
