Essential Experience Required;
• 2+ years hands-on experience in Java web application development or system integration, preferably working on financial system (e.g. banking, trust, trading, etc.)
• Experience with one or more of the following technologies: Spring, JSP, Struts, JSF, EJB, Web Services, Messaging
• Experience with at least one application server or servlet container
• Mobility
Desirable Experience Required;
• Financial domain expertise
• Experience with popular open source software (Jackrabbit, ActiveMQ, Derby, IceFaces, Ant, Maven)
• Advanced database and database tuning skills
• Design patterns knowledge
• Experience with BPMS
• Experience with the design, definition and automation of business processes and workflows
• Experience in the software integration using Apache Camel
• Experience on multilingual and/or multicurrency financial systems
• Experience with financial industry standard messaging formats or protocols (e.g. SWIFT, FIX)
• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle, including best practices associated with development
• Experience providing training to colleagues
Skills:
Essential Skills Required;
• Strong problem solving, analytical and design skills
• Ability to learn and research independently
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work cooperatively in a distributed multicultural team
• Ability to adhere to project standards and procedures
• Good concept of object-oriented programming
• Strong English (written and spoken)
• Advanced knowledge of relation database systems, SQL, HTML, XML, Scripting, build and deployment procedures
• Ability to work well in both supervised and unsupervised environments
• Ability to work within a highly disciplined project management environment
Desirable Skills Required;
• Knowledge of software development and project lifecycles
• Advanced JSF skills
• XSLT/XPath/XQuery/advanced XML skills
• Eclipse Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools (BIRT) skills
